Research Interests
I am interested in identifying ways to support and increase farmland biodiversity in ways that are practical, replicable and communicable, and which do not compromise farmers’ ability to make a living.
My interdisciplinary DPhil project will use Positive Deviance (PD) to identify the social and environmental factors associated with levels of biodiversity that are higher than expected, based on the characteristics of a farm (e.g. which part of the country it is in, or whether the farmer is a member of a Higher Level Stewardship scheme).
