Research Interests

My research interests focus on understanding the processes that influence invertebrate biodiversity in aquatic systems and applying this knowledge to inform species conservation and recovery programmes. My DPhil project will explore how aquatic invertebrates in wetland ecosystems respond to multiple pulsed stressors.

Previously, I completed a B.A. (Hons) in Biological and Biomedical Science, specialising in Zoology, at Trinity College Dublin, followed by an MSc in Marine Ecosystem Management at the University of St Andrews. My prior research focussed on examining spatial and temporal variation in the epibiont communities of kelp.
