Research Interests

I am primarily interested in mechanisms facilitating coexistence of species rich communities inhabiting ephemeral habitats, like dung and carrion, in both temperate and tropical ecosystems. This involves their community assembly mechanisms along temporal and spatial gradients, trophic interactions and interactions between groups from different kingdoms (animals x fungi x bacteria). I am also interested in mechanisms that threaten the diversity of such communities including the non-target effects of veterinary drugs and potential effects of climate change.
