We are delighted to be part of a major £9.4M collaborative research grant funded by the Wellcome Trust. The Darwin Tree of Life project ultimately plans to sequence the complete genomes of all British eukaryote species, and is a major collaborative venture involving multiple UK Universities, Museums and Research Institutes. Oxford’s involvement focuses on all of the eukaryotes in Wytham Woods as a focal site, and is led by Profs Peter Holland and Owen Lewis, and on the single-celled eukaryotes of Britain led by Prof Tom Richards.
