Research Interests

I am currently studying the interactions among plants and fruit-eating mammals in the Neotropical Region. I am particularly interested in the role played by these animals as seed dispersers and their effect on forest recovery and maintenance. I believe that, since seed dispersal by animals is the predominant form of dissemination of propagules in the tropical region, these interactions among plants and animals have the potential to improve native vegetation restoration on degraded sites.
